Class Agenda 6/11-6/15

This week we will be analyzing the historical events presented by the film Forrest Gump (edited version).  As we watch the movie, will make daily observations of historical events, and how those events connect to the topics that we have learned about over the past several weeks.  Each student will be responsible for a movie critique, an interpretation of the feather (from the opening scene), and we will even write a new "chapter" of the movie choosing an event for Forrest to be written into between 1984-present...  This is the FINAL grade of Social Studies 8! Click here for the handout.

FINAL EXAM WEEK (6/4-6/8)

FINAL EXAM - FRIDAY JUNE 6th
We will be prepping for our final exam this week in class.  Due to a number of interruptions during our school week, students will be required to keep up with the following review assignment in the "8th Grade Social Studies Review Sheets" packet.

Monday June 4 - pgs. 1-4
Tuesday June 5 - pgs. 5-8
Wednesday June 6 - pgs. 9-12
Thursday June 7 - pgs. 13-18  (p.pt. 17-18)
Friday June 8 - FINAL EXAM

Students are encouraged to use the flashcards that are available via the main page on this blog.  Students are also encouraged to use old packets and tests to prepare for the Final Exam.  Even the blog itself could be a great tool to review old material...notes...and even movie clips.  Good luck!
