1.  Bellringer:  Do Q's on pg. 28.  How were Southern African-Americans negatively impacted after the Civil War?

2.  Sharecropping discussion:  Why is sharecropping sometime referred to as "the ghost of antebellum South?"

3.  Vocabulary Review (pgs 4-5).  Class Activity - in your groups identify and summarize the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments.  Your summary must be 5 words or less!  Draw a picture to represent each amendment.  Divide a piece of notebook paper into thirds...using one section for each amendment.
